Maccaferri Barrier Systems are used to catch rockfall and debris from falling onto roads, railways and reduce the risk of possible injury or loss of property or life. These barrier systems work as a passive system by absorbing the impact energy of the rock or debris before they reach the protected area.
Maccaferri Barrier Systems are composed of galvanized panels (ring net panels, cable planels with clips or HEA knots), galvanized steel posts, state-of-the-art friction brakes, galvanized steel cables, cable and steel rod anchors, wire mesh, and accessories.
Maccaferri rockfall barriers have been successfully tested under the most demanding conditions to absorb rock energy impacts of 500 to 5000 kJ.
